Some time ago, OnePlus promised that the entire OnePlus 7 series will receive OxygenOS 12.1 software update based on Android 12. It’s June already and there is no news so far or any sign of an Open Beta program for the same. The 7 series devices continue to receive bi-monthly Android security updates though. Today, OnePlus released Oxygen OS 11.0.8.1 OTA update for the OnePlus 7, 7 Pro, 7T, and 7T Pro featuring May 2022 security patches. Download full OTA here.

OnePlus answered in FAQs that the Oxygen OS 12.1 will come to the OnePlus 7, 7 Pro, 7T, and 7T Pro somewhere around June 2022; i.e, this month. It means that Oxygen OS 11.0.8.1 may very well be the last Android 11-based OTA update for the OnePlus 7 series. Stable Oxygen OS 12.1 is expected along with the next security patch level.

However, before that, the OEM will release OxygenOS 12.1-based Open Beta program anytime this month. The closed beta has already rolled out for internal testing a couple of months ago. While we wait for the Android 12 update, get the latest Oxygen OS 11.0.8.1 OTA from below.
