OnePlus 7 series is nearing its end of life support, as OnePlus just dropped a brand new Open Beta build stating it’s the final update. Yes, the new Open Beta 5 is the last beta update that the entire OnePlus series will ever see. This means the recent Android 11 firmware update is the last OS upgrade for the OnePlus 7, 7 Pro, 7T, and 7T Pro. No Android 12.

OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro launched with Android 9 Pie, then got Android 10, and just recently received Android 11. It featured most of the OxygenOS 11 features from OnePlus 8 at the time. Open Beta program ends today.

The OxygenOS 11 based Open Beta 5 changelog states the following:

Don’t worry though, the OnePlus 7, 7Pro, 7T, and 7T Pro will continue receiving monthly security patches via stable channel. However, they may not be as frequent. Additionally, it also means that The OnePlus 7 will never see Android 12, except for the likes of custom ROMS.
