OnePlus Android 11 Update Schedule [Oxygen OS 11]

OnePlus is known for providing one of the smoothest and near stock Android experience with its Oxygen OS firmware. Back in October 2020, OnePlus launched the OnePlus 8T with Android 11 out of the box. The software is based on OnePlus’ latest OxygenOS 11. The OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro also go their stable Android 11 build. It is not time for the manufacturer to focus on older Android devices like the OnePlus 7 series, the Nord series and the OnePlus 6 and 5.

OxygenOS 11, based on Android 11, provides a much better user experience, and this has left old OnePlus users wondering when they will receive the Android 11 update. It comes with features like Enhanced Dark Mode, Zen Mode 2.0, Smart Gallery, New Sans Font, Revamped UI, and more. As per reports, the smartphones from OnePlus 6 and later models will receive Android 11 OTA update.

When will your OnePlus phone receive Oxygen OS 11 with Android 11 update?

According to this OnePlus forum post, the Android 11 update schedule is here. While there are now dates as of yet, the Oxygen OS 11 closed beta program for the OnePlus 7, 7 Pro, 7T, and 7T Pro has already begun with an Open Beta coming in upcoming weeks. The OnePlus Nord, on the other hand, will get Android 11 beta as soon as next week. So stay tuned!

OnePlus 7(T) Series:	Currently, closed beta testing is going on, and the first open beta update for OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11 expected to roll out in the coming weeks.
OnePlus Nord:	An Open Beta is expected to release next week, followed by a stable update in February.
OnePlus 6(T) Series, Nord N10 5G, Nord N100:	Analysing the previous trends with 5(T)/3(T) the OxygenOS 11 update for 6(T), N10 5G, and N100 is likely to roll out in Q2 2021 (April, May, and June).

We know our OnePlus 7 and 7T series users are also eager to have a taste of the latest flavor of Android. We have been working in parallel to release OxygenOS 11 to all these devices at the same time. As you may have heard, when porting Android 11 to the 7 and 7T series, we encountered a data decryption issue in these devices. We worked closely with Qualcomm and, with their support, we are already running a Closed Beta test. We expect to release the first OxygenOS 11 Open Beta for the OnePlus 7 and 7T series shortly after.

It may take some time for the update to arrive on carrier devices as OnePlus Said, “The above schedule may vary for models purchased from our carrier partners, including Verizon, T-Mobile, EE, and others.”
