The Xiaomi’s Poco F1 is now receiving the most anticipated MIUI 11 firmware update. The manufacturer promised the OTA rollout for the Poco F1 by the end of October 2019. While users were eagerly waiting for the stunning MIUI 11 OTA update, Xiaomi keep their promise and the MIUI 11 for Poco F1 is now live globally. Xiaomi first announced MIUI 11 firmware at their recent launch event held in October 2019 for the stunning new Redmi Note 8 Pro. The manufacturer also released a list of smartphones to receive MIUI 11. While Poco F1 was the first device listed in the phase 1 MIUI 11 rollout, the Redmi K20 first received it. The internal beta testing program for Poco F1 is over and the OEM manufacturer just released the official stable MIUI 11 for Poco F1. The OTA update is currently live and rolling out in the regions of Asia; spotted in countries like India and Indonesia. The first phased roll out may be meant for the MIUI beta testers. However, here we have the full stock firmware (ROM) using which you can use to update your Poco F1 to MIUI 11.

How to update Xiaomi Poco F1 to latest MIUI 11 firmware update?

  • Make sure your device is on the latest stable ROM.
  • Download the MIUI 11 OTA update zip from above.
  • Transfer it to phone storage in the root directory. Meaning, not in any folder. If that doesn’t work, place the file in the folder ‘download_rom’.
  • Launch the updater app on your Xioami Poco F1 device. Or go to settings > about phone > system updates.
  • Click on three dots on the top right corner and choose the ROM package.
  • Select the Android OTA zip you have downloaded. It will decrypt and update your Pocophone.

Note: Don’t stop the update once started. If stopped, you will need to do the operation again right from downloading the firmware file again. This will not erase any data in your phone.

  1. I hv downloaded the Rom,but option to choose the ROM package isnt available i the update section, plz help me ,wht shud I do???

  2. Sarang I have downloaded miui 11.0.5 from here and updated my poco F1. After updating when I clicked on download the latest update it was throwing error so I downloaded 10.3.8 from here and downgrade my device but after installing it is asking “To start the android, please enter password”. I have tried my pin and pattern but no use. Now it is showing pop up as “only 3 attempts remaining otherwise all the date will get wiped”.
    Can you please guide how to unlock the phone without wiping the data.
