Download and update Moto G6 to Android 9.0 Pie via OTA

Motorola is now rolling out official Android 9 Pie OTA updates for all of the Moto G6 series phones. We have already seen the new update being rolled out in parts of Europe and Asia. The latest to the addition is the North American region. The Moto G6, G6 Play, and G6 Plus phones are now receiving Android 9.0 Pie OTA update in the United States from most of the carriers like Verizon, T-Mobile, and even for the unlocked variants. The new update features firmware build number PPS29.118-11-1. It also includes May 2019 Security Patch level. So download and install the latest Moto G6 Android 9 Pie firmware update.

Moto G6โ€™s latest firmware update comes with all the Android 9 Pie goodies like Adaptive Battery, Adaptive Brightness, Slice, App actions, new system navigation, new settings menu, advanced notification channels and categories, Digital Wellbeing support, Google Camera 6 support (link below). It also features the new Motorola UX along with updated stock apps like camera, file manager, gallery, and much more. So go to settings > system updates > and check for OTA updates.
