Xiaomi has beta and stable programs running for several Redmi and Mi series phones simultaneously. We have seen latest Android firmware updates, security patch levels, upgraded stock or system apps, and several bugs fixes in the beta channel on MIUI stock firmware. Many of the latest generation phones have already been upgraded to MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie. This includes the Android One series phones like Mi A2 and Mi A1, Poco F1, Mi 8, and many more. The latest device to receive 9.0 Pie firmware update is Xiaomiโ€™s popular Note series phone โ€“ Redmi Note 6 Pro.

Today, users of Redmi Note 6 Pro have been receiving Android 9 Pie OTA update. It features MIUI 10.3.2.0 firmware build and the newer April 2019 security patch level. The Android 9.0 beta program has finished and stable version has finally begun rolling out. As we do not have the full changelog as of yet, we canโ€™t really go into details as to what this new OTA update brings; except that it features all the Android 9.0 Pie goodies

With MIUI based Android 9, you can expectย the new MIUI 10 swipe gestures or navigation gestures,ย App Actions, Slice, Adaptive Battery, Adaptive Brightness, new Accessibility menu, screenshot shortcut, screen rotation option in navigation bar, dark mode or night theme, text selection in overview mode, advanced notifications, and Digital Wellbeing. You can also now install latest Google Camera 6.1 or later.

The Android 9.0 Pieย Stable update for Redmi Note 6 Proย comes with firmware build number MIUI 10.3.2.0. The OTA update is currently rolling out for in European countries specifically in Germany. S. So go to Settings>About Phone>System Update and check for OTA update notification.

However, if you canโ€™t wait for the update, then here is the full OTA download link. Simply download the full zip and apply updates manually using the MIUI updater app.

Transfer OTA or full ROM to phone storage (do not put in any folder). Launch Mi Updater app and search for updates. You can also go to Settings > System updates > tap on the 3 dots at the top right corner of the screen and select the package to upgrade. However, note that, if the package does not show up, then tap the MIUI Update screen several times. You will see a new option of manual upgrade.

Alternatively, if you have a rooted device, then you can dirty flash the above full ROM via TWRP recovery.
