After the update, you will also see that the unusual heating of the device during certain operations is now gone. It is still based on September 2017 patch.
Although there are several bug fixes, stability improvements, and performance enhancements, it still possess a few bugs. This includes slower fingerprint actions for one. Third-party apps may not be completely optimized or compatible. After all it’s a beta update and some minor bugs are acceptable at this point.
The same goes for the Open Beta 17 for OnePlus 3T. Being sister phones, the updates are same for both the devices. They even have the common stable Oxygen OS 4.5.1 OTA update. The phones are sure to receive the stable Android 8.0 Oreo with Oxygen OS 5.0 or later before the end of this year. Though Oreo will be the last firmware upgrade for the OnePlus 3/3T, they will continue to receive monthly security patch upgrades.
