Android One project has been resurrected under Google’s new CEO Sundar Pichai’s supervision. The Android One project was targeted towards users seeking for budget smartphones with a regular software support directly from Google. Under the same AOSP project, Android One was deployed. The project didn’t do quite well before, but it looks like it has a huge potential this time. The most fascinating thing about the Android One devices is that they receive OTA update directly from Google’s servers. This means, monthly Security Patch level, latest Android version before anyone else.
The latest Android One device comes as Xiaomi Mi A1 codenamed tissot. That means, Google in cooperation with Xiaomi designed and created a new phone. It is rumored that there will be several such devices coming up this year and the next one could possibly be from Motorola (Lenovo) named Moto X4.
