Hydrogen OS H2OS 3.5 for OnePlus 5 OTA & Full firmware package [Download & Install]

Just like the Oneplus 3/3T, the new flagship from the Chinese manufacturer runs on two stock firmware. The first is the Oxygen OS 4.5.1 and the other is the Hydrogen OS 3.5 with Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS. Oxygen OS is basically for the international or the global variants. The manufacturer released a new version of Hydrogen OS 3.5 with the launch of OnePlus 5. It possesses some stunning new features, updated apps, and graphics in new launcher. OnePlus 5 is also confirmed to receive Android 8.0 O in 2017. Here we have listed the Hydrogen OS (H2OS) 3.5 OTA update and full firmware package for the OnePlus 5. The OTA code number for Oneplus 5 is 23. Similar to OnePlus 3 and 3T which are 16 and 28 respectively.

How to install H2OS 3.5 on OnePlus 5?

The installation procedure is simple. If your OnePlus 5 device is rooted with custom TWRP recovery, then download the full ROM zip from above and flash directly. If you come across any DM-verity or encryption problem on OnePlus 5, flash the decrypt zip file from here.

Alternatively, if your device is running the stock recovery, then head over to the following tutorial. The first thing you will need is the full firmware package for H2OS.

You can either use the Local upgrade APK or the stock Local upgrade option found in Settings.

Installation instructions:

• First, download the full stock firmware file and also the Local upgrade application.
• Transfer all the files to phone’s internal storage in the root directory. Do not put it in any folder. See the image below.

• Now download and install the Local Upgrade Android application on your OnePlus device. Or simply visit Settings> System update> Tap on Settings icon> Choose local Upgrade.

• Launch the Local Upgrade app and search for an upgrade package.

• Once you see an upgrade package, tap over it and then hit the install option.

The device will automatically reboot and perform an upgrade. First boot may take a few minutes. If it doesn’t, you may want to perform a factory reset. However, doing so may result in loss of data.
