Apparently, all the Samsung phones are now receiving the latest Android 7.0 Nougat firmware update and the latest one to receive it is the Sprint Note 5 SM-N920P. Last month, the international variant including the N920G and N920C have received the update in various regions. The Sprint Note 5 is the latest to the addition following the AT&T variant. This means, soon other US carriers like the T-Mobile and Verizon will release the Nougat update. the OTA for Sprint Note 5 comes with a firmware build number N920PVPU3DQC5 and the Baseband version weighs 1450.55 MB in size.

The latest Nougat update brings the latest March 2017 Security Patch level to the Galaxy device. It also comes with performance improvements, stability enhancements, and general bug fixes. The Samsung Experience firmware is considered to be a lot stable considering the Samsung S7 Android 7.0 reviews.

The Nougat news first showed up on the Sprint forums and later users in the United States started receiving the OTA.

The OTA can be installed directly via stock recovery choosing the option to apply update via adb or via SD card. If the SD card option is not present, then choose otherwise. Head over to our previous tutorial to know how to install.

Meanwhile, the Sprint variant of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+, which is the equivalent to Note 5, is also receiving the Nougat OTA notifications on various phones. To download, go to Settings>About device menu.
