Download and Install Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Camera App

Ever since the launch of the latest flagship phone from Samsung, the Galaxy S7 Edge was  launched, developers and Android enthusiasts have been posting the ROM, apps, features, wallpapers, ringtones and everything that could possibly be extracted from the device’s stock TouchWiz firmware. Here we are with the new Camera port from the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge stock Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow ROM. This Camera app comes in the form of a custom TWRP recovery flashable zip file. That means the app has not been tinkered with just extracted from the Galaxy S7 Edge firmware and you get to experience the full Camera features, user interface, settings, etc. So grab the S7 cam and port it to your Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Note 5, and other Samsung TouchWiz firmware. The Galaxy S7 Camera port has been tested working on some devices like Galaxy S6 and Note 5 by the developer and some Samsung users. However, not all devices have been tested. Hence, if you are planning to flash this, then it is highly recommended that you take a full Nandroid backup from within the TWRP recovery. Also, official Android 6.0.1  Marshmallow TouchWiz firmware is recommended for this port. So Android 5.1.1 running devices should be ready for disappointment. It may also work on non-Samsung devices or custom ROMS like CM 13 etc. However, flash it at your own risk. Take a look at the images.

How to Install Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Camera App Port?

The S7 camera and gallery app is a TWRP flashable zip package. So make sure you have TWRP or custom recovery installed on your Samsung Device. However, before you proceed with the installation, you may want to backup the stock camera app on your Samsung device. Here is what you should do. Go to system/priv-app/SamsungCamera4.apk and make a copy and place it to a safe place. You will need root access for that purpose. Now clear the data and cache from camera app and delete the app from the location. This way you will always have a backup of your native app and you can always replace the stock camera app if the procedure fails.

Now, boot into TWRP, take a full Nandroid backup, go to home screen and tap install and select the S7 Camera file. Swipe to flash the package. Your device will flash the camera app. That’s it, enjoy your new Camera. Like and share us on social media. If you need any help, then comment down below or leave a question in the forum.
