Samsung just recently expanded the One UI 8.5 beta program to more Galaxy devices. The electronics giant has rolled out the eighth beta build of One UI 8.5 (version ZZCD) today. While it’s not a headline-grabbing feature drop, it brings a handful of meaningful improvements that Galaxy users will appreciate. The update weighs about 586.80 in size, runs on Android 16, and bumps the security patch level to April 5, 2026.

Samsung One UI 8.5 Beta 8 Is Here. What’s New?
Samsung’s latest software update, One UI 8.5 (ZZD5) Beta 8, has begun rolling out to compatible Galaxy devices, bringing a focused set of bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements. While not a major version release, the update addresses several persistent issues that users have encountered, alongside a handful of welcome new features.
Perhaps the most notable addition is support for AirDrop connectivity with Apple devices — a significant step toward cross-platform interoperability that many Samsung users have long requested. Alongside this, three new camera filters — Classic Film, Pop Film, and Blanc — have been introduced, giving photography enthusiasts fresh creative options straight out of the box.
On the stability front, the update tackles a range of issues that had been affecting everyday usability. Bluetooth reliability, notification card display, dual recording performance, and AOD accuracy are among the areas that have seen meaningful refinement. Taken together, these changes reflect Samsung’s continued commitment to refining the One UI experience through incremental but impactful updates.
