Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 December 2022 Update GVK6

Earlier this year, the popular Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic received the most anticipated Wear OS 3.5 update featuring Samsungโ€™s One UI Watch 4.5 firmware. Soon after, Samsung released the October 2022 GVI3 update which was a mess to deal with as it bricked many Galaxy Watch 4 devices.

The November 2022 GVK4 update addressed the brick issue and it is now time to move on to monthly stability and feature update. Today, Samsung released a new December 2022 update with build GVK6. This is a huge update with the OTA weighing over 451 MB in size.

The December update for the Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic brings new Ball Watch Faces, and several bug fixes.

It also features stability code improvements for notifications and device behavior. Users complained about missing or delayed notifications for certain apps. This has been fixed now.

Most importantly, the update fixed the major issue of missing downloaded Watch Faces from the Galaxy Wear App.

The issue of downloaded watch faces not showing in the Galaxy Wearable app has been persistent for a long time on the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 5 devices. This seems to have been fixed according to some users.
