At the Samsung Galaxy S22 and the Galaxy Tab S8 series launch event, the OEM also showcased a brand new camera app called Expert Raw. Today, Samsung released a new update to the Expert Raw app with version 2.0.00.1 in support of Android 13-based One UI 5.0 firmware. It may also support previous flagship phones including Galaxy S20 Ultra, Note 20 Ultra, and Z Fold 2.

While the Expert Raw app has been available long before the Galaxy S22 devices, it was in a beta state and only supported a couple of smartphones. Now that the app is stable, it supports many devices including the Galaxy S22 Ultra, S22+, S22 or S21 Ultra, and most recently the Galaxy Fold 3.

According to one Samsung community Mod (South Korea) – named Camera 1 charge – Samsung is working on bringing Expert Raw support for the Galaxy S20 Ultra, Note 20 Ultra, and the Galaxy Z Fold 2 in the next update.

The latest Expert Raw 2.0 update may also support the above-mentioned devices. You will have to test it by yourself though.

You can also expect features like Setting value saving function (Custom Preset), Save format – create RAW or JPEG only and you can also save both.

You may also want to try this on the Note 20 Ultra, S20 Ultra, and Z Fold 2, as Samsung has promised it will bring Expert Raw to older Galaxy smartphones.

1. Setting value saving function (Custom Preset)

By referring to the various suggestions related to shooting settings, when shooting with Expert RAW, the camera setting values changed by the user are saved.

A new function to save settings that can be used again for the next shooting will be added.

We hope that you can use Expert RAW more conveniently by saving frequently used camera settings!

2. Save format

Expert RAW provided results in both RAW and JPEG formats at the same time.

There are cases where it is inconvenient to store two types of results.

We are planning to add a ‘ Save Format ‘ menu in the settings menu where users can select the desired format .

You can choose to create RAW or JPEG only and you can also save both as before !!

Samsung Camera Expert RAW 2.0 APK Download

Samsung’s Expert Raw camera app has become very popular as it gives photographers a way of accessing the uncompressed data of an image (called RAW), straight from the camera sensor.

The app is now out of beta and supports many Samsung smartphones including the Galaxy S22 Ultra, S22+, S22 or S21 Ultra, and the Galaxy Fold 3.

Capturing photos in a low-lighting environment is now faster. Image quality has been improved in various scenes.

Note that this is an addon to the Samsung Camera app. Meanwhile, download the latest version 2.0 with updated Adobe Lightroom GUI in Viewer, fixed the problem where the app won’t run after downloading, fixed pixel blur, and improved JPG quality at night.
