One UI 4.1 For Samsung Galaxy A51 Android 12

Samsung has started rolling out One UI 4.1 firmware update for the flagship S-series, non-flagship A-Series, and budget F-Series smartphones. Devices like Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy S20 and Note 20, Galaxy S10 series, Note 10 series, and the Fold series devices have already received the latest software update. Today, the Galaxy A51 received One UI 4.1 update based on Android 12 across the globe.

Samsung unveiled its latest OneUI 4.1 firmware update at the Galaxy S22 series launch event. The firmware is also compatible with tablets such as the Galaxy Tab S8 series with exclusive features. One UI 4.1 is based on Android 12 and features several improvements over the previous OneUI 4 update.

In a recent blog post, Samsung announced that the One UI 4.1 update will soon be available for non-flagship phones in the coming months. It came as a surprise when the Samsung A51 and F62 devices received the same without any notice.

Samsung Galaxy A51 (SM-A515F), that released a couple of years ago with Android 10 โ€“ later upgraded to Android 11 based on One UI 3.1, is now receiving the official One UI 4.1 firmware update based on Android 12.

Galaxy A51 finally gets to enjoy the likes of Android 12 and all of its goodies. The OTA is currently live in Russia, UAE, and Vietnam with firmware build version A515FXXU5FVC2. It will soon roll out in North America SM-A515U/U1 (United States), Europe SM-A515F/DSN (Global), South America SM-A515F/DS (LATAM), SM-A515F/DST (Brazil), SM-A515F/DSM (Russia), SM-A515F/N (Australia), and SM-A515U (USA) in the coming days.

Samsung Galaxy A51 One UI 4.1 OTA Update changelog and downloads

Looking at the changelog, it seems like some of the features may have been missing as compared to the Galaxy S22โ€™s One UI 4.1 software. The update may lack a few features from latest camera or Gallery apps like Object Remover and more. You can use Magic Eraser in Google Photos instead.

However, you do get the new Color palette feature and the Privacy dashboard from Android 12. The color palette feature enables you to easily select a color scheme for your phoneโ€™s UI that matches your wallpaper; similar to Material You visuals from Google. You also get features like better RAM management. The latest firmware is based on February 2022 security patches.
