The latest version of Gcam 8.4.500 addresses this issue with new Material You visuals for the camera settings panel.

In addition to this, one user reported a bug fix for the front camera flash on Pixel 6 devices. You will notice enough padding added such that the illumination is subtle.

Google Camera 8.4.400 update fixed the issue where the QR code URLs were incorrectly recognized on Android 12. The update also featured Timer light, an option to disable Exposure controls, an updated settings menu and shortcut.

Gcam 8.4.500 comes with a cleaner and lighter UI by hiding most of the options under settings or gear icon on the top right corner. You will notice a gear icon next to the chevron symbol. You will need to pull down the screen from the top in order to see the settings and options panel. The viewfinder now has more real estate.

In addition to this, you get features like Magic Eraser so you can remove strangers and unwanted objects from your photos. You will also find features from the previous Google Camera 8.4 released at launch including Night Sight and Astrophotography mode.
