Android 12 Beta

Googleโ€™s ongoing Android 12 beta program is in full force as it nears stable release for the Google Pixel phones. It is just a couple of months for the official stable Android 12 release. Meanwhile, Google is addressing critical issues in the current beta program by releasing Android 12 Beta 4.1 HotFix update.

Today, Google corrected the most serious problem that caused VPN to stop work at all. The Beta 4.1 OTA also addresses some minor but critical bugs like device getting stuck in a boot loop after restart, issues with heads-up notifications, volume controls not working, and much more.

The Android 12 Beta 4.1 release notes also mention the serious issue users faced after Beta 4 upgrade. None of the VPN apps worked after the update. This goes as far as even Adblockers not working such as Blockada and Adguard.

The HotFix update comes right before the September 2021 security update as well as the monthly Android 12 update. The OTA updates and factory images are now live for Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL, Pixel 3a and 3a XL, Pixel 4 and 4 XL, Pixel 4a and 4a (5G), and Pixel 5.
