Samsung Galaxy M31 One UI 3.1

Samsung successfully completed Android 11 rollout for the flagships Galaxy S20 series and the Galaxy Note 20 series based on One UI 3.0/3.1. It is now time to focus on the more popular A-series and the M-Series budget smartphones. Some of the Samsung devices like Galaxy S10, Note 10 etc. have even received the latest One UI 3.1 firmware, that debuted with the launch of Galaxy S21 series. Today, Samsung rolled out One UI 3.1 firmware update for the budget Galaxy M31 and M31s.

The Galaxy M31 quickly became popular at launch due to some stunning hardware and software specifications at budget pricing. Samsung also released a successor to the M31 with Galaxy M31s with an upgraded camera, processor, more RAM and storage at similar (budget) pricing. The M30 series became a big hit in India. It makes sense that these devices get up to date software updates as soon as possible.

This enables you to simultaneously record audio through both your phone and a connected Bluetooth devices.

One of the most important features One UI 3.1 brings is support for eSIM functionality for select regions for the Galaxy S20 series. However, this may not be true for the Galaxy M31 series. The option for eSIM can be found under Settings > Network & Connections > SIM card manager. See if you have eSIM anywhere. Note that it also need network support to work.

However, it does come with most of the One UI 3.0 features from the Galaxy S20 series; with some exceptions like Dex mode or even Wireless Dex.
