One UI 3.1 with Android 11 for Samsung Galaxy devices

As we reported earlier, One UI 3.1 firmware update is already hitting Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra devices in Europe and Asia starting last month. This is for the global variants with Exynos processors. The North American variants with Snapdragon variants are always last to receive the latest firmware update due to carrier restrictions. Today, Samsung rolled out One UI 3.1 update for the Unlocked Galaxy S20 and Note 20 series in the United States.

As for the Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra, One UI 3.1 is available for both locked and unlocked variants starting with the AT&T and Verizonย variants. T-Mobile will release the update anytime soon this month. The update is available with las monthโ€™s February 2021 Android security patch level for the Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra Snapdragon variants.

Whereas, only the unlocked variant of Snapdragon Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra are reported to be receiving One UI 3.1 update in the United States. The update comes with the latest March 2021 security patch level for the S20 series with The carrier locked variants from T-Mobile and Verizon will receive the same later this month.

Whatโ€™s new with One UI 3.1 firmware update?

Samsung launched their 2021 flagship phones called Galaxy S21, S21+, and the S21 Ultra. The S21 series comes with the latest One UI 3.1 software update out of the box with some new and exciting features. According to Samsungโ€™s official press release, One UI 3.1 will also come to a whole bunch of other devices starting with the Galaxy S20 series and Note20 series.

One UI 3.1 features inclued improved Single Take feature for Samsung camera, object eraser for captured images, improved touch autofocus and autoexposure controller. Adding to the list is the new Multi Mic Recording feature while video recording under Pro Video mode. This enables you to simultaneously record audio through both your phone and a connected Bluetooth devices.

Other One UI 3.1 features include new Eye Comfort Shield, Private Share, and Auto Switch for connected Bluetooth devices. Most importantly, One UI 3.1 now support eSIM functionality for select regions including the United States.

The easiest way to update your Galaxy S20 and Note 20 series to One UI 3.1 is by visiting settings > system update > download updates manually.
