Samsung Galaxy M31 Gets Android 11 Update One UI 3.0

Samsung recently completed the stable Android 11 rollout for the former flagships Galaxy S20 series and the Galaxy Note 20 series. It is now time to focus on the non-flagships like the mid range A-series, and the budget M-Series as well. Here is the latest Android 11 based One UI 3.0 firmware update for the popular Galaxy M30s.

The Galaxy M30 quickly became one of the most popular smartphones after launch as it featured some stunning hardware and software specifications at budget pricing. Samsung soon released a successor to the M30 called the Galaxy M30s, with an upgraded camera, processor, more RAM and storage at similar (budget) pricing. The M30s was also a big hit, even though it sold in very limited regions like India.

It makes sense that Samsung would support the popular M-series to continue its legacy. Today, Samsung released stable Android 11 OTA update for the M30s with the latest One UI 3.0 firmware update. Additionally, the OEM also started a public beta program for the newer Galaxy M31 device in Asia. Checkout all the details from the following screenshots.

Thanks to Yash Agarwal on Twitter for first reporting stable One UI 3 firmware rollout for the M30s. It features all the Android 11 goodies along with the latest January 2021 security patch level. It also comes with most of the One UI 3.0 features from the Galaxy S20 series; with a exceptions such as Dex mode or even Wireless Dex.

The OTA is currently live in India with build number M307FXXU4CUAG. The update weighs about 2 GB in size. You can also download the OTA by visiting settings > system updates > download OTA update manually from your phone.
