What’s new in PUBG Mobile 1.3 BETA?

Before downloading the game, let’s checkout what’s new with the new 1.3 update. Most of the new feature and maps were already available on Console and PC version of PUBG. Patch notes of the game has surfaced online, and some in-game content has been confirmed. It brings new challenges, missions, skins and improved gaming experience.

Karakin Map – New Map

Karakin will be the sixth map of the game. The map recently debuted on PC and Console version of PUBG, which will now be available for mobile. Karakin will be the smallest map as compared to others and based in North-Africa.

While Karakin was earlier scheduled to be released on the PMGC (Pubg mobile Global Championship 2020), due to several changes in tournaments its was just shown as a teaser.

Furthermore, the map’s dimensions are measured as 2x2km island. If we are to compare it to the other maps, Erangel and Miramar are sized at 8x8km, Vikendi sits at 6x6km, and Sanhok is a 4x4km map.

According to the press release, this map is a combination of Miramar UI, and fast paced gameplay like Sanhok. The total number of players will land on the island were 64 players instead of 100 to complement the map’s size.

CODE-C – New Arena Map

Apart from the classic map, a new map will appear with the codename CODE-C. This map officially released with the name “Heven.” Where it aimed for those players who loved to play with Sniper rifle only. Also, it gives players new guns like Mosin Nagat Sniper Rifle, alongside SMGs. 

New Weapons

PUBG Mobile 1.3 brings new Smuggle Tunnels and Sticky bombs. Additionally, it brings a new weapon called Mosin Nagat, a new Sniper rifle using 7.62mm ammo. It is categorized as the bolt-sniper rifle and will be available to use in Classic map of Erangel and Vikendi.

Motor Glider

In contrast, the game will include it’s first air-vehicle called Motor glider which can carry 2 players at a time. The motor Glider requires enough fuel to speed up and get into the air. While it has low fuel capacity, the distance covered depends on the altitude and the speed of the vehicle. You can be expect this vehicle to spawn on classic Map of Erangel and Miramar.

Sticky Bombs

Sticky Bombs are throwable bombs that stick to objects. It is reportedly only available in the new map “Karakin”. It will be quite interesting to experience it in the game for destroying walls and other objects. Expect the gameplay to be more aggressive.

Purple Zone

The new Karakin Map will have a purple zone or demolition zone, wherein building will start collapsing as the zone closes. This means, players will need to exit building before the zone approaches.

Thin Wall

This is one of the most intriguing features added to the game. Certain areas in the map will feature thin walls wherein players will be able to takedown opponents through the wall. Meaning, bullets can pierce through the walls.

Panzerfaust

Panzerfaust was officially confirmed by the official PUBG Mobile Twitter handle. Panzerfaust is categorized as special weapons spawn on rare location and comes with the air-drops.

It is kind of a missile launcher which will induce more damage to the enemies. It can also destroy the walls and vehicles in close range.
