Download: OnePlus 8/8Pro Gets New Oxygen OS 11.0.2.2 HotFix OTA Update

A few months ago, OnePlus started beta testing Android 11 for the latest OnePlus 8 series. The smartphone manufacturer already rolled out stable Oxygen OS 11 for the OnePlus 8, 8 Pro, and the 8T phones. Earlier this month, the OnePlus the 8 series received their first Oxygen OS 11.0.1.1 OTA based on stable Android 11. However, that was quickly put on hold due to some bugs. An official notice was posted in the OnePlus Forums stating that the update’s rollout is currently halted.

Today, OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro devices are receiving a new HotFix OTA update with build Oxygen OS 11.0.2.2. It features all the bug fixes from the previous one and more. First off, OOS 11.0.2.2 brings the phones to the latest November 2020 security patch level. Apart from that, the OTA fixed several system issues like the Play Store could not install the app, optimized split-screen apps, optimized system power consumption, and increase battery life. Furthermore, it features everything from the previous Oxygen OS 11.0.1.1 firmware. This includes several system optimizations. One such optimization comes to the frame stability algorithm for a smoother experience. It also optimized adaptive brightness algorithm and background process management to improve standby-by performance. Quick settings panel has been adjusted to three lines now.

The most important improvement comes to the network settings with an intelligent 5G function to extend battery endurance capacity. Optimized Wi-Fi connection for stability.
