One UI 2.0 lite

Samsungโ€™s One UI 3.0 beta program just started rolling out to the public. The update first comes to the Galaxy S20 series in the United States and South Korea. While we already had the One UI 3.0 firmware available to us since last month, that was the developer preview (or the pre-beta build). Here is the first One UI 3.0 public beta rollout with software build ZTJ3.

For those of you who donโ€™t know, One UI 3.0 is the term used by Samsung for their new firmware based on latest Android 11 OS. The OTA comes with new software version ZTJ3. We currently have the complete build number for unlocked S20 Ultra (SM-G988U1) device with Snapdragon processor โ€“ G988U1UEU1ZTJ3. It also features latest October 2020 security patch level.

If you are already enrolled into the developer preview program, you should be get ZTJ3 OTA update starting now. So go to settings > system update > download updates manually. As for the regular users, you can sign up for the public beta!

One UI 3.0 OTA for Galaxy S20 Ultra

Furthermore, according to the leaked One UI 3.0 product page here, the update is also expected for other Samsung devices like Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy Tab S7 series, and even the Galaxy Z Fold 2. This is a big deal for Galaxy S20 users as it brings several new features to the table. You can checkout the entire changelog here from the One UI 3.0 post. It also supports Good Lock 2021 and comes with new modules like Pentastic, Wonderland, One Hand Operation+, and much more.

As for the devices, the Galaxy S20 series is the first to receive the Android 11 update for carriers T-Mobile, Sprint, and even the Unlocked variants for models Galaxy S20 (SM-G981U/U1), S20+ (SM-G986U/U1), S20 Ultra (SM-G988U/U1). Exynos will receive it later.

How to apply for Samsungโ€™s One UI 3.0 beta program?

There are several ways to enroll into the One UI 3.0 beta program. The easiest way is to apply using the Samsung Members app. Simply update the Samsung members app, and launch it. Head over to the notice section and you should see a new One UI Beta Program link. Once you enroll into the beta program, head over to settings > system updates > download OTA updates.
