Samsung Android 11 Beta Program with One UI 3.0 for Snapdragon in United States

Google just rolled out stable Android 11 for the Pixel lineup yesterday. Several third party smartphone manufacturers stepped in and rolled out their own versions of Android 11 skin for their respective devices. This includes Oxygen OS 11 by OnePlus, MIUI 12 by Xiaomi, Realme 2.0 by Realme, and ColorOS by OPPO. Today, Samsung announce their latest One UI 3.0 firmware update based on Android 11 for the Galaxy S20 series. The update comes via beta program.

While Samsung already had Android 11 developer preview for select Galaxy S20 devices, the beta was limited to only a few internal testers. Just a few hours ago, Samsung opened the One UI 3.0 beta registration to the public. However, only a select regions and devices are eligible for Android 11. This includes the Snapdragon variants of Galaxy S20, S20 Plus, and S20 Ultra in the United States and South Korea. This means only the Snapdragon Galaxy S20 variants are eligible for OneUI 3.0 as of September 9, 2020.

While Exynos variants are always first in receiving software updates from Samsung, for the beta program, Snapdragon variants come first. thatโ€™s fine because by second or third beta, we will have a more stable One UI 3.0 firmware for Exynos S20 variants. As for the global variants, Germany will be the first region to be eligible for the same. So stay tuned!
