Download Galaxy S20 ROM port based on One UI 2.1 firmware for Galaxy S9 and Note 9

Samsung just released Android 10 for the Galaxy S9 series and the Note 9 earlier this year. The latest update featured Samsungโ€™s One UI 2.0 firmware update. As we already know, One UI is Samsungโ€™s official name for their firmware since the Android 9 Pie update and the legacy continues further with the flagship Galaxy S20 series. Galaxy S20, however, features an upgraded version with build One UI 2.1. One UI 2.1 firmware update has also rolled out to the S10 series and Note 10 series across the globe just this week. While itโ€™s unclear whether the new update will come to the S9 and Note 9 series, here is an unofficial One UI 2.1 ROM port from the Galaxy S20 series for the Galaxy S9 and Note 9 devices.

When the Galaxy S20 series launched, just a couple of months ago, it featured all the latest hardware and software configuration one could ask for. The most intriguing thing about the Galaxy S20, apart form the 108 MP camera, is the One UI 2.1 firmware. Some of the features of the One UI 2.1 update include Share Live, pro Video Mode, Single Take, Night mode on front camera. new Live Focus with new backgrounds, New My Filter option in camera, Night mode on Hyperlapse, new Photo Editor, Dolby on Games, and much more.

Thanks to developer AlexisXDA on XDA, here we have the first One UI 2.1 ROM port (from the S20 series) for the Galaxy S9, S9+, and the Note 9 . With this ROM, you get all the Galaxy S20 features mentioned above. In addition, you also get some unique features like odexed, debloated software, some tweaks for best performance and better battery, and all the Galaxy S20 apps and features mentioned above.

So you can also call it the Galaxy S20 ROM port for the Note 9 and Galaxy S9 and S9+. However, note that this requires a rooted Android device with the latest TWRP recovery intact. It has been tested working on Galaxy S9 (SM-G960F/FD), S9+ (SM-G965F/FD), and the Note 9 (SM-N960F/FD) models. This includes almost all the global Exynos variants. As the Snapdragon variants do not have a rooting method and a custom TWRP recovery, the One UI 2.1 ROM port does no work. The installer is an AROMA Installer; meaning you can choose which apps and features you want to install to your deviceโ€™s system.
