Stable Android 10 OTA update for Moto Z4 Verizon locked and unlocked variants in United States

Every smartphone manufacturer is racing towards the latest Android 10 update for their respective smartphone range. Motorola is no exception and is trying hard to give its users the experience they need. A few weeks ago, we heard that the unlocked Moto Z4 users are getting OTA update of Android 10 via incremental roll-out. Today, Motorola pushed the same for Verizon Moto Z4 locked variant in the Unites States. So for those waiting desperately, can now download Android 10 for Moto Z4 on Verizon carrier.

The Moto Z4 is the mid-range smartphone which was launched in June 2019. The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 675 coupled with 4 GB of Ram and has a battery size of 3600 mAh. The phone is based on the modular concept of Moto’s design which Motorola first revealed in the original Motorola Z. The key feature of the phone is that users can additionally snap different modules provided by Motorola at the back of the phone. Like a 360 camera mod or a JBL speaker mod.

All the users having Verizon locked variant of Moto Z4 can check the system update from settings to download and install the Android 10 over-the-air. The firmware build number of the latest update is QDF30.130-42. The update features all the Android 10 goodies including gestures, system-wide Dark Mode, advanced privacy tool, enhanced app permissions panel, Digital Wellbeing support, better notification management, and much more. This update also includes March 2020 security patch, whereas the unlocked version comes with January 2020. Besides the provided changelog by Motorola, users who have already downloaded the update also noticed a few changes which are listed below.

• Face unlocking now does now require swiping up. It unlocks straight away.
• changing icon shapes are now in the developer options, with a new shape
• Moto actions are ever-present in the settings, no longer just in the Moto app
• The micro screen works differently, no longer tap outside the screen to exit
