Download Xiaomi Mi A2 official Android 10 OTA Update

Earlier this week, Xiaomi released the Android 10 kernel sources for the stunning Mi A2 and Mi A3 devices. This meant that official Android 10 update for Xiaomi’s Android One smartphone range was imminent. The day has finally arrived. Stable Android 10 update is currently rolling out for Xiaomi Mi A2. Plus, the OTA update zip has been captured and available for download. So if you have a Mi A2, then simply go to settings > system updates > and check for any OTA updates. Alternatively, grab the Android 10 OTA update zip from below and manually update your Xiaomi Mi A2.

Apparently, the internal beta program for Mi A2 is over and the manufacturer has released stable build of Android 10 for Mi A2 codenamed – jasmine. The OTA comes in a full package of 1.3 GB in size. It packs all the Android 10 goodies like Dark Mode (or Dark Theme for Android One), smart reply, brand new gesture navigation system, advanced privacy and location controls, and the latest Android security patch level. It features the newer December 2019 security patch.

As reported by users, the update is quite stable for the first release. However, there may be some bugs like the UI glitches. Also, some important features like VoWiFi may be missing with this update. Now, the update is currently rolling out in the regions of Asia in phased manner. You can either wait for the update to arrive on your device, or simply grab the OTA from below and update your Mi A2 manually to Android 10.

The previous update of Android 9 Pie for Mi A2 features new gesture navigation system from Google, App Actions, Slice, latest Security Patch level from AOSP, new Accessibility Menu, Screenshot Shortcut, new Screen Rotation option in navigation bar, Dark Mode support, Text Selection in overview mode, advanced notifications, and Digital Wellbeing support as well.

Note that, this update may require a locked Bootloader to apply. Although this is a recovery update (tutorial here), you can also install it using a custom TWRP recovery or via Fastboot method (tutorial here). Also, backup before your update.
