OnePlus 6 and 6T gets Pre-Android 10 OTA update (Oxygen OS 10) with latest Oxygen OS 9.0.9 / 9.0.17

OnePlus 6 and 6T devices are now receiving latest Oxygen OS 9.0.9 and 9.0.17 update that is the pre-Android firmware. This new OTA update prepares the OnePlus 6 and 6T for the upcoming Android 10 firmware update based on Oxygen OS 10. The latest flagships OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro just received the Oxygen OS 10 OTA update a few days ago. The manufacturer is just preparing the sixth generation of the devices for the same. So download the latest Oxygen OS 9.0.9 for OnePlus 6 and Oxygen OS 9.0.17 for OnePlus 6T.

According to the changelog listed below, the latest Oxygen OS 9.0.9/9.0.17 features several system optimizations. For one, it fixed the crash issue with the built-in Screen Recorder. It also re-activated the calling function after the network has been reset, and more. Most importantly, this update will improve the overall system performance to prepare for later versions. This only means one thing – Android 10 update is just around the corner and you may expect it sooner.
