Download Flyme 7 Android 8.0 Oreo Meizu devices

Update – Official Stable Flyme 7 is now available for download for all the Meizu devices with firmware build number 7.0.0.0G. Download and install. The software development team of Flyme started accepting several Meizu users for their next generation of Flyme OS. After rigorous amount of testing by several Andorid developers, the official Flyme OS 7 Beta is finally out for public release. The Flyme 7 is based on Android 8.0 Oreo and the latest Android Security Patch as well. So download and install the latest Flyme 7 for several Meizu devices.

The new Meizu Beta software firmware comes with a new build number Flyme 7.8.5.30G. It concists of all the Oreo goodies such as app notification channels, Picture-in-Picture (PIP), AutoFill for usernames and passwords, new emojis, and much more. The Flyme 7 beta is now available for a select number of devices including Meizu PRO 7PRO7 PlusM5 Note, and MX6.

We already have the previous Flyme 6.3.0.0.G stable official versions available for all the Meizu devices. As the Beta has begun, we will most likely see the Flyme OS 7.0.0.0G in no time. Moreover, the following update is a public beta release. So, there might be few glitches here and there.

How to update Meizu to Android 8.0 Oreo with Flyme 7?

You can transfer the update zip to phone’s internal storage, reboot into stock recovery mode, and apply OTA update from there. Read: How to install OTA updates?

OR, you can do the following:

  • Make sure your device is on the previous stable Flyme 6.
  • Perform a Nandroid Backup of your device.
  • Download Flyme 6 full stock firmware file from above section for your Meizu device.
  • Transfer the update.zip file to the root of your internal storage
  • Go to File Manager and simply tap on update.zip file
  • Tap on Upgrade option at the next pop up
  • Wait for the firmware upgrade to complete the installation process.
  • And finally Reboot to system.
