Xperia XA1 (Ultra) Receives November 2017 Security Patch [Download Firmware 42.0.A.4.133]

Sony seems to be getting ahead in the game of seeding latest firmware for its devices. The update spree continues with the rollout of November security patch for Xperia XA1/Ultra. This one follows the recent firmware rollout for XZ1/Compact. Xperia XA1 family only gets a monthly security level upgrade with the November 2017 patch. There are no other significant add-ons that follow this update.

The latest update brings the firmware version number 40.0.A.6.162 and 42.0.A.4.133 for Xperia XA1/Ultra respectively. It is still based on Android 7.0 Nougat. The update is rolling over the air in batches. So, it will take a while to roll onto your device. We might expect an OS upgrade to Oreo in the coming days.
