Samsung Galaxy S8+ Android 8.0 Oreo Beta program for Exynos variant

Samsung Galaxy S8 has a large user base and is one of the most popular devices of 2017. Recently, the Korean electronics giant decided to roll out the newest Android 8.0 Oreo update for the two devices S8 & S8+. Samsungโ€™s Oreo Beta program is now rolling out and only a select users from USA, UK, and Korea can enjoy it. Though the official Oreo roll out will begin in the first quarter of 2017, here we have the full stock firmware S8 Oreo Beta. So download and install Samsung Oreo ROM for Galaxy S8 Plus.

Following Galaxy S8/S8+ Snapdragon variants, the Exynos variants are also receiving Oreo Beta update. The Galaxy S8 Plus SM-G955F is receiving the firmware version G955FXXU1ZQJJ. How to update Galaxy S8+ SM-G955F/FD to Samsung Experience 9.0 Oreo Beta update?

The steps are below and the downloads are below. In the download section, you will find 3 firmware files. The first is the completeย Samsung Oreo ROM, the second is the compatible Bootloader and the last one is the Modem. You will need to flash Samsung Oreo ROM via TWRP and other two via Odin.

Only use the DM-Verity zip if you need to disable encryption via TWRP. Usually, it is flashed after the Oreo ROM has been flashed. While in stock recovery and wipe everything (resetting variables for dm-verity inside the system boot image), all the 3 options, just do all (for a clean flash).

Step 1: Make sure your device is rooted with latest TWRP recovery installed.

Step 2: Download all the files listed in the below download section and transferย them all into phoneโ€™s internal storage.

Step 3: Reboot into TWRP recovery.

Step 4: First of all performย a complete Nandroid backup.

Step 5: Go to Wipe. Then select Format Data and select โ€œyesโ€.

Step 6: Again, go to Wipe, select Advanced Wipe and wipe partitions like system, cache, dalvik cache.

Step 7: Reboot again to TWRP again.

Step 8: From TWRP tap on install and select the Oreo ROM zip.

Step 9:ย Now its time to flash the Bootloader and Modem files via Odin from Download mode.

Step 10:ย Now Reboot directly into Download Mode from the recovery.

Step 11: Flash BL & CP by Odin. Add Bootloader in [BL] and Modem in [CP] slots. See: How to flash using Odin?

Once done, reboot to system.
