Hydrogen OS (H2OS) Beta 11 for OnePlus 3 and Beta 5 for OnePlus 3T brings critical bug fixes | Still no Android 7.1.2

The Hydrogen OS, also known as H2OS, is an alternative ROM for the OnePlus phones. It has been built for all the manufacturer devices including OnePlus 3/3T, 2, X, and One. Apart from the Chinese variants, H2OS can also be installed on the international variants seamlessly. Similar to the Open Beta version of the Oxygen OS which is currently v13 for OnePlus 3 and v4 for OnePlus 3T, the H2OS Public Betas are also being updated to v11 and v5 for the respective devices. This means, the Oxygen OS Open Beta 14 and Beta 5 for OnePlus 3 phones are on their way and may hit the devices soon in this week as OTA zips.

The H2OS Beta 11 possess some critical upgrades and mostly bug fixes like Bluetooth optimization, system stability, GPS optimization while roaming, Night mode, and more. Same goes for the Beta 5 for OnePlus 3T. It is still based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and doesn’t come with April 2017 Security Patch Level. Meaning, it’s a small update to bring overall system stability.

OnePlus 3 users are highly expecing the next and latest Android 7.1.2 Nougat for their phones via official Oxygen OS firmware builds. However, we still cannot expect the next Open Beta to bring Android 7.1.2 AOSP sources to OnePlus.

The installation instructions are same as that of the previous Open Beta 10 and Beta 4 for OnePlus 3T. Even if you are on the international/Global variant of OnePlus, you can still easily switch between Oxygen OS and Hydrogen OS.
