Install-Leaked-Note-4-Android-6.0.1-Marshmallow

Some time ago, some Note 4 reported having received the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update from Samsung, like in this video hereย and some of the Sprint devices as well. Donโ€™t know how true that is, but if youย want to believe in an actual Galaxy Note 4 running the latest TouchWiz firmware, then here is a port that will take your device to Marshmallow. It is based on the official Samsung TouchWiz firmware and has been reported running with no major bugs or instability issue. So remember, this will only work with devices running Snapdragon processor and not with the Exynos ones and is meant for the N910P variant. So if you are looking forward to flashing it, then you better backup.

To install it you will need to install an engineering bootloader and the Baseband from PB5 firmware before you make it work via TWRP recovery. Donโ€™t worry, TWRP will remain intact and wonโ€™t be replaced by stock recovery. There is also a workaround to downgrade your system to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop on your Note 4. All you need to do is install theย bootloaderย  fromย OK1 firmware and itโ€™s optional to flash OK1 baseband. For more info on the ROM, visit source from below. UPDATE: Official Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow is now available for Note 4.

How to Install Leaked Note 4 Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow Firmware On SM-N910P

This guide needs TWRP installed and take a Nandroid backup first. Once you have TWRP, download all the files from Marshmallow section and transfer them to the device storage or SDCard.

Step 1:ย Reboot into the bootloader or Odin mode on your S6 device. To do so, turn your phone off completely and press the volume down, home and power buttons simultaneously for a few seconds.

Step 2:ย Now open Odin software on your PC and connect your Galaxy device to your computer. Now flash PB5 bootloader onto your device. Make sure auto reboot is not ticked.

Step 3: Now flash the PB5 Baseband.ย the same way.

Step 4: Now reboot into the TWRP recovery.ย To do so, turn your phone off completely and press the volume down and power buttons simultaneously for a few seconds.

Step 5:ย Once into the TWRP recovery, backup everything. Now tap on the wipe option and simply factory reset.

Step 6: Go home and tap โ€œInstallโ€ and flash the Note 4 ROM.

Flash SuperSU package and Reboot to system. You can now enjoy your new Marshmallow firmware. According to the developer, this ROM takes a lot of time to boot. Almost 30 minutes, as it is deodexed by default since it isnโ€™t production software.

How to downgrade to Lollipop

If you wish to downgrade to 5.1.1 Lollipop, just flash the OK1 baseband and OK1 bootloader from above. The OK1 bootloader is must otherwise your wifi will not turn on and your camera will be blurry and not focus. You may keep the baseband no matter what version you are on. Once done, install the Lollipop firmware using Odin. You can follow the same steps as above. Followย and share us on social media. If you need any help, then comment down below. I have a Sprint Note 4. To downgrade from 6.0.1 to 5.1.1, does my phone have to be rooted?

No you don’t. Just grab the proper file for your variant and flash via Odin.

Are you running Marshmallow? What variant and what file are you using? Make sure you use the proper full stock firmware for your device.

Did you try a factory reset? Sometimes after an update the apps and data from lollipop may conflict with the new firmware your device just upgraded to. Go to recovery mode and factory reset it (wipe all data). Also, can you boot into the system or is it stuck at the logo?
