My battery life absolutely went into the toilet after this upgrade. I have restarted. I have cleared the cache. I have done everything aside from a reset. This has made my phone lose 90% of it’s charge in the space of 6 hours with the screen being mostly off. Not happy Sony!!!

That’s sad. Check if there is anything similar to always on display enabled. Also, install Greenify app and hibernate all the apps for a day and check if there is any change in battery drain. If possible try factory reset. Sometimes apps from previous version conflict with newer Android versions.

Try disabling antivirus, firewall and try again. Make sure USB drivers are installed correctly. Else, reinstall.
